Southwind Projects, NYC

I am pleased to be part of a group exhibition of prints with Southwind Projects in New York. The show opens Wednesday 10 May from 6-8pm at 1133 Broadway, 2nd Fl, NYC 10010. Limited edition prints will be available for sale with proceeds going towards the excellent Southwind Projects Programme. I'll be exhibiting a limited edition archival pigment print on Baryta Coated Cotton Rag 16x20" from my painting titled, 'The Old That Is Strong Does Not Wither.'

Showing in Los Angeles

I am honoured to be exhibiting with the Ahmanson Gallery in Irvine, Los Angeles later in the Spring. This is my first solo exhibition the U.S. and will feature eighteen new paintings created especially for the show in response to the Ahmanson Collection extensive postcards archive.

The exhibition, titled Souvenirs from the Waste Land, opens 11 March and runs until mid summer.

New Book Out Soon

The new book, God Art, is due for publication the UK from late February with Morphē Art. Look out for details of the launch in Scotland late February and London late March.

God Art is a an accumulation of research from the last five years towards the place of belief in contemporary art. Read more about it here.

I have been shortlisted for the Griffin Art Prize. Designed to have a meaningful impact on the career of one emerging artist, the Griffin Art Prize is an annual residency and exhibition award for UK based artists in painting and drawing. It provides the time, space, materials and support to develop work for a one-person exhibition. The Griffin Art Prize winner will undertake a six month residency in a large studio in London, which will culminate in a solo exhibition at Griffin Gallery.

The Griffin Art Prize 2015 is judged by Emma Crichton-Miller, a freelance arts journalist and writer, Jenni Lomax OBE, Director of Camden Arts Centre,  Jenny Lindén Urnes, owner and Chairman of Lindéngruppen, and Stuart Semple, contemporary British artist and curator.

For all in the London area it would be great to see you for the Private View of Perfectionism III : The Art of Making at Griffin Gallery. 

I am delighted to be part of this show curated by gallery director, Rebecca Pelly-Fry. The show involves artists who go to extraordinary lengths to render their work with a heightened sense of realism and promises to be an interesting line-up of artists.
